At least Labyrinth Bowie is for a movie. I don't know what he was thinking for Scary Monsters. Fashion statement? It's funny now that's for sure.

He did originally want to be a mime. I think it was more about artistic wotsit than about a fashion statement.

Hey everybody. Don't know where you are all based, however I am trying to organise a pub crawl in London in summer 2009 where I aim to convince as many strangers as possible to turn up dressed as Bowie. As this has been inspired by the Flight of the Conchords I thought I would post this to try to generate some more interest (the idea only came to me today). The event is called "Bowiecon" and I am hoping this may become an annual occurrence. If you are interested in what I am doing please join the Facebook group Bowiecon or email me at bowiecon@live.com.
BTW my favourite was David Bowie from the 1986 film Labyrinth.
